There’s a new site called 1breath.com which I’ve put out there to replace 01010.org. It’s more or less the same content and design.

I have tweaked 01010 a bit so I could put it on CSS Reboot along with about 1500 others for the May 1st event. Let’s hope the new intro page doesn’t put anybody off. Graphical design is not my strong point (understatement), so if any of you reading this are good at that sort of thing, please get in touch if you would like to offer me help, advice or counselling!

It’s a big wide web, sometimes wonderful, sometimes weird, sometimes wacky. Which way will I wander today? Well, over at ZonerDesign, Greg has put together a list of “cool CSS valid websites”. If you’re at a loose end, this looks like a good place to start a new adventure. Check it out! Or, for lasting satisfaction as opposed to a temporary buzz, I always recommend this. Thank you to everyone who completed the 60-second survey. I hope the pleasant surprise was to your liking. The survey is ongoing so if you haven’t already done so, you can still participate. (It’s at the bottom of the page).

The results are listed below and the main thing that strikes me is that visitors want choice. Although 43% preferred the small font size (as I would have expected), 21% preferred large, 18% medium and 18% tiny font sizes. Although many people preferred the dark font on a white background (as I would have expected), far more people preferred a light font on a dark background.
