design : mid
The redesign of 4-Ever has had many influences. Sincere thanks goes, first of all, to this breath, the one thing I can put my complete trust in and which is always there for me. I take it for granted but without it I would not do very much!
Textpattern
Without the following it would not be the same site:
Textpattern, TextDrive, Textpattern Forum, TextDrive Forum, Textpattern Resources, TextBook, TextGarden and Textpattern Magazine.
The Textpattern community goes from strength to strength with more and more people giving hours and hours of their time. Many people deserve a mention but I am trying to keep this article to a reasonable length so for now I have just picked out Zem, Sencer, Mary and Stuart (the Bombsite) who all seem to be founts of knowledge and advice and always seem to be online answering people's questions!
I only skim the surface with Textpattern's capabilities and at the moment I only use a few plugins. Thank you very much: Andrew Waer for zebra comments plugin, Johan Nilsson for the glx plugins, Reinier Ladan for recent comments plugin, Rob Sable for admin plugin, Ramanan Sivaranjan for robots meta plugin, Steve Babineau for strip html plugin and Philippe Wittenbergh for comments form label hack.
Other
Mike Purvis's fixed/fluid Jello Mould Piefecta layout was perfect for 4-Ever. The style switching here is based on Stuff and Nonsense: Strategies for CSS Switching in Digital Web Magazine. And I have often searched and found answers on A List Apart, 456 Berea Street and Position Is Everything.
It is pretty hard to do anything without inspiration, of course, and the websites at the end of the links in the left column of the home page have been invaluable.
