Make Ignorance History

The Make Poverty History campaign may have made progress towards relieving poverty. Time will tell if the progress was permanent or just temporary. Hopefully lives have been saved, less people have been trafficked into prostitution or sexual slavery and more people will wake up tomorrow looking forward to having a great day instead of dreading it. I will continue to support campaigns, sign petitions, write letters and give help when I can. I feel there is a more important message that needs to be broadcast, however. Know your self. Know your real self. Know what this life is about. Know your purpose on this planet. Know the true value of life. Be at peace with yourself.
If the world leaders - elected or otherwise - really knew the incredible peace they already have in their hearts, the world could be transformed very quickly. But we all need to know the real peace in our own hearts too. It's no good leaving it up to someone else. We must feel the peace, we must know ourselves, we must have the experience - or remain unfulfilled.
Believing is not enough. Blind faith in politicians, religious leaders, gurus of all kinds, or in an ideology is very prevalent but every now and then we question our faith. Some people respond by even more blind following and others respond by trying to find another answer. But usually we go back to square one - believing things and never really knowing what is going on. Do you really think that this ignorance is normal, that we are on earth to remain unfulfilled? Does that make any sense at all?
Although people can land on the moon and technology is advancing at an incredible rate, all that brainpower has got the human race nowhere with regards to knowing our purpose on the planet, of why we are alive, of who we really are. Scientists, philosophers, psychologists and 'great thinkers' raise more questions than answers. It seems to me that the general feeling of most of the human race is that there is no real answer to the question of life.
There is an answer though. I know it in my heart. It cannot be comprehended by this brain but it can be felt. Words cannot explain it or it would have been explained aeons ago. You can find out for yourself, you don't have to believe me. Prem Rawat can show you the answer. He speaks beautifully about it but that is not enough for you, is it? And no, it should not be enough, or you are still ignorant of what you need to know. But Maharaji, as he is also known, can show you who you really are and ways to keep in touch with that incredible beauty that is the real you. Make ignorance history. Discover what you already have in your heart. Know your true self and fulfill your destiny. It is definitely possible. If I can know so can you.
