People in China are barred from many parts of the internet by the Great Firewall. They risk serious repercussions if caught discussing politics. But China's human rights abuses are coming under increasing scrutiny now that the 2008 Olympics is approaching. It is a good time to keep the pressure on China. Here are some simple actions that anyone can take to help the Chinese in their struggle for freedom.

Channel 4 showed Ghosts last night at 10pm. They pushed it a bit in the week so hopefully a lot of people will have seen it. What struck me was how thoughtlessly the illegals were treated by ordinary people like you and me. I hope the film struck other viewers the same way and thus raise the general consciousness of the public.

Do you believe in miracles? Do you believe Jesus rose from the dead or walked on water? Do you believe Krishna was blue? Do you believe modern day miracles such as those that apparently happened to Shelley Yates, Howard Storm or others?

Snow At Last! 0

OK, OK, we can’t all be poets!
Gentle soft
From aloft
Snow falls down
To the ground
Hearts fill up
Lots of joy
Every girl
Every boy
Open hands
Catch a flake
Will it melt?
Will it take?
Make Ignorance History 0

The Make Poverty History campaign may have made progress towards relieving poverty. Time will tell if the progress was permanent or just temporary. Hopefully lives have been saved, less people have been trafficked into prostitution or sexual slavery and more people will wake up tomorrow looking forward to having a great day instead of dreading it. I will continue to support campaigns, sign petitions, write letters and give help when I can. I feel there is a more important message that needs to be broadcast, however. Know your self. Know your real self. Know what this life is about. Know your purpose on this planet. Know the true value of life. Be at peace with yourself.

Another Special Day 0

33 years ago today I was shown peace within me and four techniques to help me get there whenever I want to. I have been to that special place many many times since. It is always beautiful and never fails to make me feel… peace, good, happy, content, satisfied, fulfilled, clear, mellow… the adjectives just don’t measure up…

Give Choices! 0

Thank you to everyone who completed the 60-second survey. I hope the pleasant surprise was to your liking. The survey is ongoing so if you haven’t already done so, you can still participate. (It’s at the bottom of the page).
The results are listed below and the main thing that strikes me is that visitors want choice. Although 43% preferred the small font size (as I would have expected), 21% preferred large, 18% medium and 18% tiny font sizes. Although many people preferred the dark font on a white background (as I would have expected), far more people preferred a light font on a dark background.

Hello, my name is Peter Moulding and I am currently living in Preston, Lancashire, UK, Planet Earth, Somewhere in Space. Yes, I am another child of the universe just like you. Isn't this an amazing adventure we are all undertaking?!
I posted a BEFORE photo in About Me Part One. At the end of this article you can see an AFTER photo. So what happened in between?
Well, you can read a few things I did in Things I've Done and a few work/career things in Things I've Done II. But a few minutes reading will never tell you very much and, just like you, most of me is unknown to others. In fact a lot of me is unknown to myself and my quest in this short life has become to know myself as completely as I can.

"Content is king" is a general rule of thumb among web designers. I try to write interesting articles and I have had a few positive remarks about my content which makes me feel that perhaps I am doing something right. For a site to become more popular, however, with a feeling of growth and with people sharing constructive comments, what else is needed?
What do you think are the most important things about a website or its owner or its design? I've just had about 5000 visitors in the last 4 days because of one article I wrote that got mentioned on one popular site and then got mentioned on a few more. Now I like interaction and exchange of ideas and views as much as anyone, so when I see that only 2 people commented in that time and neither entered into further discussion, I start to wonder. (Commenters reading this, please don't get me wrong! I am not complaining about your comments. Quite the opposite, I welcome them. Thank you)

The redesign of 4-Ever has had many influences. Sincere thanks goes, first of all, to this breath, the one thing I can put my complete trust in and which is always there for me. I take it for granted but without it I would not do very much!
Textpattern
Without the following it would not be the same site:
Textpattern, TextDrive, Textpattern Forum, TextDrive Forum, Textpattern Resources, TextBook, TextGarden and Textpattern Magazine.
