About 4-Ever

about : mid

Version 1 of 4-Ever was inspired by the Lukas Moodysson film, Lilya 4-Ever. Although I knew that life was very hard for many people, it was this great film that really drove the point home for me. It broke my heart to realise that millions of young free spirits like Lilja are suffering terrible injustices right now in all parts of the world. I felt I had to do something.

For whatever reason the response has not been great. Perhaps the grim look of the site was too confronting. Perhaps there is already too much bad news in the media. Perhaps people are cynical about campaigning. Perhaps you would rather be reminded of love and hope than the consequences of the polluted mind.

In this new version of 4-Ever, I want to allow space for lighter things. The dark side is still there but if you are not so interested in the stuff that hurts, perhaps articles on design or topical things or life in general will be more to your taste.

I still want to help people less fortunate than myself. I have an incredible life. In worldly terms I do not have much but in my own terms, in my feelings, I am rich, successful and have everything I ever wanted. You are on the same planet, in the same boat as myself and everyone else so I think you also want to help those who need it if there is a simple way. It is natural, isn't it?

On 4-Ever, there are some petitions to sign and letters that can be sent. If you are cynical about the political process, as I am, there are other ways to improve your world and our world. There are links to inspirational web sites, for example. The ones I think you will find most relevant and useful are Contact Info, Prem Rawat and Maharaji.
